Pendenra Stud is a developing stud farm in Robertson, very close to Ridgemont Highlands.

The farm’s business owners and its core breeders bring an extraordinary wealth of experience of the global bloodstock industry – 20 years’ breeding in South Africa overlapping with 30 years at Godolphin HQ in Newmarket. The boutique operation has offered a limited number of seasonal boarding places adding to the year-round band of owned and client-boarded mares..

Not (yet) a showpiece stud farm but on the way, Pendenra Stud’s lush grassed paddocks and dry camps, some established, some newly fenced and gated, plus its regular and foaling stabling, and little nursery paddocks form a well-equipped smaller-scale home to happy boarding and owned mares. They and their followers are cared for with extraordinary attention to detail by enthusiastic, experienced staff backed up by top class veterinary care and consultants – all to the satisfaction of professional mare owners as well as the principals.

The 2021 breeding season was very successful. Highly experienced consultants attended all foalings; veterinary back-up was strong. Only one mare was “not in foal” after one late cover by an older stallion.
